Flatiron area advertising agency seeking a highly motivated entry level Accounts Payable Representative to join the Finance team. As a team member, the person in this role will be working on various aspects of accounts payable processing. This position interacts with internal and external customers requiring timely and accurate responses to inquiries and payment related issues. The job performs accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Including but not limited to:
-processing accounts payable transactions daily including coding and data entry
-responding to all vendor inquiries
-reconciling vendor statements, research and resolve discrepancies
-monitoring accounts to ensure payments are up to date
-setting up invoices for payment and processing check requests
-reviewing invoices and auditing employee expense reports for appropriate documentation
-maintaining accounts payable records and other accounting department files
-assisting with the month end closing and other accounting and finance related projects
-providing administrative support to the accounting department as needed
Your ability to grow within this position is limited only by your level of efficiency and your desire to learn new tasks and perform them well. We are willing to train the right individual.
Qualifications:
• Education Level: Associates degree in Accounting (Bachelors preferred)
• Strong communications and inter-personal skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload, work independently, and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail is a MUST
• Ability to take an initiative
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be a TEAM player
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and outside vendors
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Word, previous Mac experience a plus

Compensation: $28,000. Entry level position.
